As Serviceman at Barrick North Mara Gold Mine Limited you will conduct pre start checks and assist  the drillers with rig checks

POSITION: Serviceman

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Identify potential hazards and communicate immediately to the driller or supervisor
2. Housekeeping of all equipment ensuring it is of the highest of standards with cleanliness to all work spaces a priority
3. Maintain trailer stock levels ensuring that the supervisor is kept up-to-date with incomings and outgoings.
4. Ensure practices are followed to enable the site to remain free of hazards,
5. Conduct pre-start checks, and assist the driller with rig checks.

QUALIFICATIONS 

1. Ordinary secondary school education.
2. Heavy Mobile equipment operation /Offsider/ Spotter skills.
3. Mines Health & Safety Act Awareness.
4. Experience and Competencies needed
5. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar industry
6. Experience in machine operation in any large underground mining operation .Driving Ability with valid driving license
7. Understanding of basic Mines Health & Safety Act.
8. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
