Judicial Services Commission(JSC) was brought up basing on articles 112 of Tanzania constitution that states that “It shall be appointments advisory commission for Judges and Magistrates in Mainland Tanzania “. The country since 1962 this article was still used until when it was changed in 2021 to Act No 4of 2011 that brought some reforms to the Judicial Service Commission through adding to its roles with both Judicial and non-Judicial in the issues such as recruitment and promotions.
Basing on new look JSC started with new face of operations in 2012 and leiter it began working to plan for strategic planning of 2013 and 2014 including 2017 to 2018. The operations is delivered from its mandate from the article 112 of the Constitution of the country
Basing In the Article 113 the Constitution JSC has established the Judicial Service Commission works basing on Article 29 of Judicial Administration Act No 4 of 2011. JSC works to advise the President in respect of the appointment of the Judge on other Judges from the High Court basing on the article 113
