You will play crucial role in implementing of WWF RLs special species conservation program
POSITION: Carnivore Ecology Officer
Duties and responsibilities
Creating and maintaining information database and ecological monitoring framework
Conducting field survey, data collection and analysis
Developing and implementing strategies to restore lion demographics and enhance connectivity
Develop and implement conflict mitigation strategies
Promoting the growth of lion populations to near capacity
Initiate and support community led Carnivore monitoring
Working with local communities to reduce eco tourism activities
Conducting outreach and educational programs to raise awareness
BSC in wildlife Ecology, Conservation? Biology, Zoology or related
Three years of experience in wildlife conservation
Experience in ecological research, survey and data analysis
Strong understanding of human wildlife conflict issues and mitigation strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in community engagement and education
Able to work independently and as part of team
Good in GIS , remote sensing and ecological modeling software is advantageous
