You will play crucial role in implementing of WWF RLs special species conservation program
POSITION: Carnivore Ecology Officer
Duties and responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining information database and ecological monitoring framework
- Conducting field survey, data collection and analysis
- Developing and implementing strategies to restore lion demographics and enhance connectivity
- Develop and implement conflict mitigation strategies
- Promoting the growth of lion populations to near capacity
- Initiate and support community led Carnivore monitoring
- Working with local communities to reduce eco tourism activities
- Conducting outreach and educational programs to raise awareness

Qualification
- BSC in wildlife Ecology, Conservation? Biology, Zoology or related
- Three years of experience in wildlife conservation
- Experience in ecological research, survey and data analysis
- Strong understanding of human wildlife conflict issues and mitigation strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in community engagement and education
- Able to work independently and as part of team
- Good in GIS , remote sensing and ecological modeling software is advantageous
