Tanzania Fisheries Corporation (TAFICO) focuses on the development of Fish farmers so that to enhance fish production in Tanzania through applying modern technology in fish production, fish feeds production without forgetting giving education yi local farmers.
The Institute is now focusing through achieving more sufficient and invironmentally friendliness in fishing industry through triggering value chain in fishing sector and investigate in fishing facilities and fish processing by reducing post harvest losses on small pelagic fish segments.
Through that, the institute has collaborated with traders with artisanal fishermen to ensure sustainable fishing ways so that to conserve fauna which is marine resources. Tanzania Fisheries Corporation is public corruption working under the government of Tanzania while guided with responsible ministry of Livestock and fisheries.
The istute work is to ensure sustainable utilization of Marine resources by focusing on commercial fishing projects including the EEZ. The organisation focuses on strategic plans to boost on funding production by creating employment opportunities so that to increase on food security hence growth of the country’s fisheries sector and economic growth
