National prosecution Services/ Ofisi Ya Mashtaka Tanzania was is independent public service office and was brought up under Government Notice No 49 of 2018 2ith the aim of Institutionalise the Constitution mandate under Director of Public prosecution known as DPP whose role is administration of the criminal justice in the country
Basing on the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania under Article No 59B says that the DPP is sole authority vested with powers and responsibility to exercise control over the prosecution of all criminal matters in all courts with the exception of Court Martial
Therefore from this statement, the DPP owns powers to the institute and works to supervise all criminal matters in Tanzania and these powers are vested in him to the exclusion of any other person or any authority in the Country and his role is nollonger subjected to the control of any one or any authority
