National Examination Council Tanzania (NECTA) was brought up in 1973 working under the Ministry of education and Vocational Training and is remarkable autonomous government agency that overseas administration of examinations in the country. The Agency works through conducting several examinations both primary school, secondary schools and advanced secondary schools
The exams conducted by this agency are crucial milestones in youth education journey where by PSLE is done by pupil in the primary level So that to qualify for Secondary, CSEE is done in the secondary Education and skills acquired lastly is advanced secondary level where they sit for ACSEE done to prepare students to join higher education institutions
The Agency has been there to set examinations policies, designing question papers basing on examinations rules and letter announcing results. Through all of this activity their role has been to ensure fair and reliable assessments that reflect students abilities
