Barrick North Mara Gold Mine is mine found in Tarime District in Tanzania being part of North Mara complex that consists Gokona which is underground mine and Nyabirama which is open pit mine in Mara District Tanzania
The Company is marked as largest gold mine that plays significant role in the provision of employment opportunities and supporting infrastructure development to people across where the company has focused on environmental and social challenges through provision of education of sustainable use of water and land use
The company has also focused on implementing of environmental management plans in the communities that has helped to increase positive relationships with people around the mine hence increasing its mining practices and striving to uphold high standards of safety environmental responsibility and ethical conduct
It is now working to minimize environmental impact and promoting to the mining practices throughout global operations and its production where the company has contributed significantly to Tanzania’s gold exports. The mine has increased to ensure the growth of economy in Mara region
